Surface Grinding Wheels

Surface grinding is the most common of the grinding operations. It is a finishing process that uses a rotating Abrasive Wheel to smooth the flat surface of metallic or non-metallic materials to give them a more refined look by removing the Diamond or CBN Abrasive layer and impurities on workpiece surfaces. This will also attain a desired surface for a functional purpose.

The periphery (flat edge) of the wheel is in contact with the work-piece, producing the flat surface. Peripheral grinding is used in high-precision work on simple flat surfaces; 1A1 Type Diamond or CBN Abrasive Wheel would be your best option.
